16 KPIs You Should Monitor for an Effective ERP Implementation

Posted by MAX on Aug 11, 2017 9:03:00 AM

When companies choose to implement a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, they tend to make one common mistake. Management often insists on formulating implementation plans that attempt to make the ERP system match the company rather than learning how to properly use the features of the system.

The success of this approach depends on how well existing processes are implemented and how well the new system emulates the old. Very often, however, the old system(s) lack discipline and documentation and the new ERP system is not programmed to think, behave or operate exactly like the old ERP system.

The goal of an ERP System is to improve how the business runs. Losing sight of that makes implementation ineffective and often results in failure.

Because of these common problems, we set out to design a webinar that provides the solution. In this webinar, we discuss the 5 elements of a successful ERP implementation.

The first four more commonly known elements of ERP are:

  1. Data Management
  2. Standardized and Shared Data
  3. Operational Philosophy
  4. Business Strategy

The 5th element, the 16 KPIs of ERP, is required to make the ERP system more functional at the business management level. These KPIs can be deployed to further develop business processes to achieve multiple, simultaneous goals, and a higher level of understanding and collaboration between departments. In the webinar, we'll present all of the KPIs and describe their purpose so you can leave with a better understanding of how everything is supposed to work together. If your organization has not mastered fundamental processes and disciplines at the software level, then it will be loud and clear when you begin to dive into these performance metrics.

Watch the on-demand webinar, Making ERP Operational: The Key Elements of Every Successful ERP Project, to learn the most effective ways to get your ERP system humming with the 16 important KPIs your company should be monitoring. As a bonus for watching this webinar, we will send you our eBook, Making ERP Operational. Inside, you’ll learn even more about the 16 KPIs and the logic behind monitoring them.
